Dr. Colin M. Jackson
Orthopaedic Surgeon                                          
B.Sc.(Biochemistry), MD, FRCS(C) 

Dr. Jackson is on active staff and past Head of the Division of Orthopaedics at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, BC.  He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at UBC.  

He is an active member of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association (COA), BC Orthopaedic Association (BCOA),  American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and President of the BC Hand Society.
Dr. Jackson earned his medical degree at the University of British Columbia in 1998, followed by the completion of his Orthopaedic Residency in 2003 in Vancouver (VGH, St. Paul's, RCH) . In 2004, Dr. Jackson pursued his interest in upper extremity by completing a hand, wrist, and elbow fellowship at the University of British Columbia, under the direction of Dr. Peter Gropper.  He was granted privileges at Surrey Memorial Hospital in 2005 where he currently practices. He also maintains operating privileges at several private clinics in the lower mainland.

Dr. Jackson is a specialist in hip and knee replacements, knee sports injuries, and a sub-specialty in hand, wrist and elbow surgery.  A significant amount of his practice is dedicated to knee and hip surgeries and orthopaedic trauma.  He also enjoys caring for the smaller paediatric patients that arrive through the emergency department.  

In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his wife and two children.  He enjoys a variety of activities including, running, skiing, biking, and kicking or throwing a ball around with his kids.
