SMOKING CESSATION
Stopping or reducing smoking before surgery has been strongly proven to help patients heal faster and develop fewer complications. There are many free resources available that can help you and offer support.

BC Smoking Cessation Program

Description: The smoking cessation clinic is a free, comprehensive group program that guides clients to become smoke-free through education, behavioural support, and counselling. Physician or nurse practitioner referral is required.
The virtual program runs over a period of 12 weeks and includes group sessions and telephone follow-ups. The group session is held on Wednesdays at 4:30 PM –5:30 PM.
Sessions are led by trained tobacco cessation educators and mental health counsellors.
